About Inspector Faerie
Inspector Faerie: L.C. Morgenstern’s Fantasy, Fiction and Folkore Rants is more or less exactly what it sounds like. It is – or will be – a collection of opinion pieces which are too irritation-and-or-enthusiasm-infused to truly be called essays.
Why Inspector Faerie? Faerie – as in supernatural land of fantasy beings, not as in the archaic form of fairy which has recently regained popularity – because I adored Tolkien’s On Fairy-Stories, which described the etymology of the word, and because I mis-spell fairy much more often than I do faerie. As for Inspector? This blog – although by no means limited to fantasy – is about inspecting, and analysing, both fiction (On Writing posts) and all things faerie (On Folklore posts).
